”Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Cheap or Expensive?
These retreats are priced as low as possible, and they are comparatively cheap. Still they are out of reach for many. For that reason we have started a sponsorship program. The purpose is to enable people from lesser affluent, (non-western), countries to come. The cultural diversity aboard is one of the best aspects of these retreats. In the past we’ve sponsored people from countries like Albania, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, and China – what a treat it has been to all of us! If you would like to donate, you can do so securely here. Even a modest donation would be a big help. It is a great way of blessing someone who needs a retreat, but can’t afford it. Donations will be strictly applied to sponsor participants only.
Is this retreat what you need? Is it priced out of your range? (Typically the equivalent of several months personal income). Maybe our ‘sponsor-a-pirate-program’ could be of assistance to you… Do not be timid. Let us know of your need. Use the mail form above and indicate what degree of assistance you need to come. We take all such requests under serious and prayerful consideration and will assign all donation as we see fit based on need. We’ll give priority to people from non-western countries who are involved in ministry.
Keep in mind that your booking is only complete once we have received your payment in full. You need to pay the initial 150 € deposit upon registration. The remainder is payable no later than 60 days prior to departure. We recommend TransferWise for lowest fees and best rates. Contact us for the account information. You can also pay by credit card through PayPal. (5% PayPal fees will be added to the total amount). If you prefer you can pay by conventional bank transfer.
We normally end up being 4-5 different nationalities onboard. You’ll need to be able to communicate in basic english in order to enjoy participating. We need a minimum of 12 people to pull it off. If we don’t reach that 60 days prior to departure we’ll have to postpone, and you will be fully refunded. We are trying to keep it reasonably comfortable onboard with a max of 14 people + crew.

Travel & Tickets
As these trips bring together people from many different places, group travel is impossible. You will have to make your own way to and from Skopelos. Easiest is flying by charter to Skiathos and take the ferry from there. There are also good connections by bus and train to the mainline ferry port of Volos from both Thessaloniki and Athens. You will need to arrive in the morning to either airport in order to make it to the port the same day. We will send you detailed travel instructions once you are booked with us. Keep in mind that tickets prices go up considerably closer to the actual departure date. Once you are confirmed with us, do make your travel arrangements as soon as possible.
The ship we use offers one twin cabin, one tripple cabin and one large 7 berth cabin. You can also sleep on deck if you bring your own airmatress and bedding, (ship bedding in not allowed on deck). Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will have your own cabin if you come as a couple. You might end up dorm style with mixed gender!
We would love to hear from you. Use the form here and we will get back to you asap.
